Employee Social Security Institution The Employees Social Security Institution a body corporate established under the Provincial Employees Social Security Ordinance, 1965, on recommendation of  International Labour Organization (ILO) .  The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ESSI came into being on the break-up of one unit in July 1970. Governed by a Governing Body headed by the Provincial Minister for Labour, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A self-sustaining body without any financial aid from the Provincial or Federal Government. Meets all expenditures from monthly contribution payable, by the establishments covered under the above said      ordinance,  @ 6% of the wages of their employees. Provides medical care facilities and different cash benefits to secured workers and their dependents.
